We distinguish between two types of Lean Six Sigma certifications. Namely, certifications for practitioners and certifications for executives. Practitioners actively apply Lean Six Sigma in their project work. On the other hand, managers and executives oversee the Lean Six Sigma activities.
Certifications for practitioners include the Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt certification.
For executives we are preparing the Lean Six Sigma certification for Champions.
How to become green belt certified:
Our Green Belt certification requirements are:
Education:
Green Belt Training with Business Excellence Academy or its equivalent
Experience:
Led 2 Green Belt projects, or
Participated on 3 Black Belt projects, or
Led 1 Green Belt project, and participated on 2 Black Belt projects
Exam:
Business Excellence Academy Green Belt exam (on-line or as part of our training)

How to become Black belt certified:
Here are our Black Belt certification requirements in nutshell:
Education:
Black Belt Training with Business Excellence Academy or its equivalent
Experience:
Led 2 Black Belt projects
Financial savings of €200.000*, or a revenue contribution of €400.000* or more through Lean Six Sigma
* High financial benefits are easier to achieve in some countries than others. Therefore, we take the different cost levels into consideration. This means, that Black Belts practicing in low-cost countries fulfil their certification requirement also with a lower financial benefits.

Business Excellence Academy Black Belt exam (on-line or as part of our training)

How to become master black belt certified:
Business Excellence Academy Master Black Belt certification requirements are:
Education:
Participated on the Business Excellence Academy Master Black Belt education program.
Experience:
Led 3 cross-functional LSS projects (at least 1 MBB project)
Coached 10 or more Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belts
Trained all Black Belt modules with 250 hours or more as a LSS Teacher
Financial savings of €2.000.000*, or a revenue contribution of €4.000.000* or more through Lean Six Sigma
* High financial savings are easier to achieve in some countries than others. Therefore; we take the different cost levels into consideration. This means, that MBBs practicing in low-cost countries fulfil this certification requirement also with annualised savings less than €2m.
